Stomping Ground Beer Hall

Stomping Ground Beer Hall takes an inclusive approach with the aim of offering an outstanding beer experience for as many people and tastes as possible.

Stomping Ground brews more than 60 different types of beers every year, some are part of their regular beer series which offer a diverse range of types and tastes, as well as special one-off brews. An equally inclusive menu offers a range of delectable dishes from classic pub dishes to more refined plates and Italian woodfired pizzas.

The venue itself is an expansive 1500 square meter converted warehouse with its industrial character intact. Inside, the exposed saw tooth roof forms double height voids, the clerestory windows fill the space with light, and the exposed original structural trusses, steel beams, columns and brick perimeter walls all add to the old-world industrial charm.

Keeping patrons comfortable during the colder months was a challenge in this beautiful industrial shell with very open spaces and high rooflines. Given the nature and expansive volume of the space, a warm air furnace heating solution would have been highly inefficient, expensive to run, and more than likely draughty and uncomfortable due to stratification.

Instead, Celmec’s tailored heating solution for the venue opted for Gas-fired Infrared Radiant Heaters [IRH-G’s] and Tube Radiant Heaters [TRH’s]. These offer a combination of low, medium and high intensity radiant heat providing comfortable warmth where it’s most needed, at floor level. Radiant heat is naturally absorbed by people, all surrounding objects and the building structure itself, creating all-round warmth like that of the sun.
